(a) Young's modulus = Gradient of graph
Gradient of graph = [Δy / Δx]
Gradient of graph = [(300 - 0) X 106/ (0.005 - 0)]
Young's modulus = 6 X 106 Nm-2.

(b) The yield point is the point at which extension is no longer proportional to the applied stress. 3 X 108 Nm-2.
